For those of you reading this page, yes, we are now located in Minnesota... the land of 10,000 Winters! And, YES, I must get this site updated.. soon, my friends, soon! (now, there's a real commitment!)

June 2016

We are only a couple of weeks away from this new adventure...Houses sold, new place it's just the details and preparing for the LONG road trip we are calling a caravan. 4 trucks, 4 trailers, 8 drivers and 14 dogs! We'll update the ACC Ranch Facebook page as we are on this incredible journey, and will update these pages next month. We will NOT be breeding any more in expect to breed standard poodles, Sheepadoodles and GSP's in 2017.

Again, thank you for your support over the past 20 years, we couldn't have done it without you.

If you would like to see more photos and slide shows browse through the site, there are navigation buttons on the left side of each page. Please take the time to learn about us, email or call if you have any questions. We appreciate your feedback!

ACC Ranch is proud to say we are a Colorado State Licensed and inspected AND AKC inspected & compliant facility!!!

ACC Ranch & Kennels is a 100-acre ranch in the scenic Bijou Basin, located about 30 minutes north of Colorado Springs and about an hour and a half southeast of Denver. We have many animals at the ranch, including horses, cows, llamas, alpacas, cats, and, of course the dogs.

Why did we name the ranch ACC Ranch? ACC stands for: Assisi's Country Critters, a tribute to St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of the animal kingdom. He has helped us many times over the years with all the animals, and this is one small way we can thank him.

We started with German Shorthaired Pointers years ago and have built up a great line of hunting dogs and companions. Currently, we own 5 breeding females, and breed each once per year. We are no longer breeding GSP's since our move.

Rick is an exceptional gun dog trainer and has trained many dogs right here at the ranch. We also board many dogs, especially during the summer and holiday times. We believe this is a little doggie camp, each dog has his/her own 5x10 suite at night, with a dog house, and a yard to play in all day with other dogs (providing they play well with others).

Then we adopted our first Poodle (OK, I adopted our first poodle, Rick wasn't real excited about it, but he got over it pretty quickly.) Remember, both GSP's and POODLES make great family dogs and hunting dogs and I really like both their dispositions. Of course we believe our puppies are the Cutest in Colorado, probably the cutest west of the Mississippi.

Then there's our Ranch Queen Myla. Myla (Short for MY Little Angel) is a Bichon that gets along with all the animals.

We spend most of our time with the animals in one way or another, generally our days begin at 5am walking, feeding and caring for the animals most days we eat our dinner well after dark, and definitely only after each animal has been taken care of and tucked in for the evening.

Many people ask: "What is your specialty at ACC Ranch?" it's pretty simple actually, we specialize in breeding great quality non-shed pets. You can learn more about some of our breeds by using the navigation bar on the left of this page. ,

Although all of our dogs are top of the line, and could be show dogs, we breed primarily for temperament, health and intelligence. Our puppies go to their new homes very well adjusted, adaptable and true lover dogs. We know not everyone can afford, nor do they want, show dogs. We bred a few litters of the Goldendoodles, and learned that many people liked the doodles because of their assumed hypo-allergenic and non-shed qualities. When there is one parent that sheds and one that doesn't, a non-shed dog can not be guaranteed. So, we started breeding non-shed to non-shed, therefore can guarantee non-shed in the offspring.

There several other things that make us stand out from other breeders: We are both full time dog people (I guess you could say our lives have gone to the dogs), so I am with the dogs and puppies 24x7...our house is set up so that the puppies are inside with us, until they are old enough, and weather will allow, for them to go out during the day hours. Our basement is set up so that we have a birthing room, a nursery, a pre-school, and a kindergarden. I figure they go home at grade school age. We have day beds set up in the basement and sleep down with the puppies and new moms for the first 3 days after a litter is born. We are professional breeders, we know dogs and puppies. I am currently working on my Vet Tec certification, and we provide lifetime puppy support for you and your new family addition. We get very involved with each puppy in each litter.

We welcome you to give us a call, email or even visit the ranch if you are considering a Sheepadoodle, or just want to talk about the various breeds out there an available to you today. Just let us know, we're here to help. At the side of this page you will find links where you can view our adult dogs, learn about us, and about any available puppies we may have, plus our services and other things.

Again, thank you so much for visiting our site, and we hope you find exactly what you are looking for here!
